Summerset TRL/TRLD Drop-In Infrared Sear Burner

The Summerset drop-in infrared sear burner (model SSIRB-L) takes the place of one stainless main burner on a TRL or TRLD grill. The infrared element runs far hotter than a standard burner, up to about 1,600°F, for a hard sear on steaks and chops. Remove one main burner and drop the sear burner into that position.

This sear burner is for TRL and TRLD grills only. Sizzler grills use their own drop-in sear burner (IRB-SIZ), and the two are not interchangeable.

Finding your Summerset model and serial number is easy.

Summerset model numbers look like SIZ32, TRL38 or SZRPRO40. The series, the size and the gas type all change which part fits.

Find the rating plate. It lists the model, the gas type and the serial number.

On Summerset grills it is on the outside of the firebox (grill basin), and on some models it is also on the underside of the drip tray.
